Sioux City has been a disappointment so far this season but has shown some signs of life lately. Not quite the rivalry of years past but it's always nice to get a win in Sioux City. Hopefully the boys don't look past this team.

FYI... $6 Student Night and also $1 Beer Night for the game tonight.

If you make the trip down for the game and plan to take advantage of $1 beers don't forget about a designated driver. It's a little too easy to lose track of how many ya had when the price is only $1. Remember, hockey fans don't let hockey fans drive drunk!

Normally that's true... for most... but when it's a $BUCK$ it gets a little easier.

Not really happy with the outcome but at least we salvaged a point out of the trip.

The shootout record showcases the best & the worst of this team.

They are a completely well rounded & nearly perfect definition of a team. Arguably appearing to be the closest team the franchise has had.

One on one...geesh.

Oh well. They're still getting points even in the losses and that's going to make a difference in the long run. It may make sense to turn it up a little more and make some more chances offensively late in tied games or overtime. If they lose because they give up an odd man rush, chances were they were going to the shootout and without an improvement there the result doesn't change.

But if that's my biggest beef this year...boo frickin' hoo. This team has everything any fan would want, the boys seem to be having fun and get along and the building was nearly full on a rivalry night.
